Any person working in the field of biological/biomedical research or diagnostics with a bachelor degree in biological science, having prior understanding about the science of Biosafety Biosecurity from training organized at home or abroad shall be eligible for Individual Membership. Such an individual may become a member by submitting a completed association membership application form and payment of the current annual dues to the Association. Individual Members shall be eligible to vote, to hold office, to serve on committees, and to enjoy other rights of the Association. Duration of Individual membership is two year.
Any individual fulfilling the criteria set to be an individual member may become a life member by submitting a completed association membership application form and additional payment set by the EXCO to the Society. Life Members shall be eligible to vote, to hold office, to serve on committees, and to enjoy other rights of the Association. Duration of Life membership is unlimited.
Any company or organization with an interest in biological safety shall be eligible for Corporate Membership. Each Corporate Member may designate up to three persons. Each of these three persons shall fulfill the criteria set to be eligible as an Individual Members and shall be eligible to vote, to hold office, to serve on committees, and to enjoy other rights of the Association. Duration of Corporate Membership is two year.
A graduate student with an interest in biological safety shall be eligible for Student Membership. Student Members shall not have the right to vote or the right to hold elective office. Duration of Student Membership is two year.
A person who has made outstanding contributions to biological safety or who has served the Association with distinction shall be eligible for Honorary Membership. Individuals who were members of the Association prior to becoming Honorary Members shall be eligible to vote, to hold office, to serve on committees, and to enjoy other rights of the Association.
